Yamaha has redesigned their F115 outboard, in an effort to make it lighter and more efficient. Based on the Yamaha DOHC in-line-four 16-valve design, this new F115 also features some new advances that give it serious appeal. The new F115 features a long-track intake system with a single throttle valve and a resonator to improve throttle response, plus re-shaped combustion chambers designed to increase combustion efficiency. The ECM controlled electronic fuel injection system provides more precise control of the combustion process, and a new knock sensor in the ECM has also been added to provide protection from knocking as well as improved combustion efficiency and maximum acceleration. The cowl of the F115 has been re-designed, to improve air intake, draining abilities, and restriction from water intrusion. And like its bigger brothers, the new 115 is compatible with Yamaha’s Command Link gauges and Y-COP immobilizer system. Check it out and find the specs at www.yamahaoutboards.com. Add your comment |
