Do you wish you’d opted for an iPod, iPhone, iPad, tablet, or Smart phone which had GPS functionality? If you made the wrong decision when you bought your electro-goodie, Dual has the solution, in their Universal GPS Receiver. This little hockey-puck sized gadget is a GPS antenna and receiver that connects to your gadget via Bluetooth, and provides a feed of GPS info that works with most any of the nav apps out there. So don’t worry about upgrading your entire unit – just add on the Dual, and navigate to your heart’s content. The Dual has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to eight hours, and charges via a USB connection. It also comes with a 12-V car charger. The back is non-slip so you can sit the antenna on your boat or car’s dash and it stays put. It’s a nifty, easy way to add GPS where the was none before, and I only have one nit-pick about the unit: it costs around a hundred bucks, which is nearly enough to buy a dedicated handheld GPS unit. Those, on the other hand, won’t Bluetooth to your other gadgets. Sounds interesting? Check it out at Dual’s web site. Add your comment |
