Churchill Yacht Partners sends word that the 154-foot Perini Navi sailing yacht Andromeda La Dea is reducing her weekly base rate for charters this winter in the Caribbean, including during the upcoming Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Previously, the regular weekly base rates for Andromeda La Dea were $150,000 during holidays and high season weeks, and $125,000 during other weeks. Now, the weekly base rates are $125,000 during holidays and high season weeks, and $110,000 during other weeks.

That's a savings of about 10 to 15 percent depending on the week that you choose to charter.

I was last onboard Andromeda La Dea in December 2008, when she looked good and had a sharp crew onboard. The owner has not changed since then, and the yacht should have a large number of references from recent charter clients if you are interested in learning about the current crew. At the time of my tour, the interior looked quite good and retained an elegant, traditional ambiance. (That's the main salon in the photograph at right.)
